When Internet Explorer does not work like other browsers it is often because the DOCTYPE was not specified. Add this to the top of your html document and see if you still have the problem.

<html xml:lang="en-US" lang="en-US" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

It is hard to do, but if the problem is fixed, try to quit blaming others for your coding mistakes.
